Urban Meyer Steps Down
College football lost one it's best when Urban Meyer stepped down as Florida's Head Coach. During his six years at Florida Urban Meyer won two BCS and SEC championships. He returned the gator's to their place as a SEC powerhouse. Urban Meyer is only 46 years old, there is no telling how many championships he could of won if he didn't retire. To Coach Meyers credit though he is one of the smart ones that walked away on top and young, rather than old and washed up.

Wow he was really successful. It is always a shame to see someone step down who has made a team who they are and has had such an impact on a team, but at the same time you have to remember their triumphs. I do agree that it was a smart decision for him to get out of the game now while he was still on top rather than later. At least now he still has his name and reputation to fall back on. If he would have waited who knows what could have potentially happened.
