Urban Meyer Steps Down
College football lost one it's best when Urban Meyer stepped down as Florida's Head Coach. During his six years at Florida Urban Meyer won two BCS and SEC championships. He returned the gator's to their place as a SEC powerhouse. Urban Meyer is only 46 years old, there is no telling how many championships he could of won if he didn't retire. To Coach Meyers credit though he is one of the smart ones that walked away on top and young, rather than old and washed up.

National Championship Game
The national championship game will feature Oregon, and Auburn. This should be an explosive football game, with lots of scoring. Both teams have prolific offenses that can score at will. This question in this game is who's defense is going to step up and stop the opposing offense. This should surely be a classic game.

Bosie State
Personally I was a Bosie State fan so i am upset to see them lose. Whether you like them or not you have to respect what they did. Winning 24 straight games no matter what conference you are in is impressive. With in the 24 game win streak there multiple teams. Bosie State also had to deal with having a bulls eye on their back every week. Every team they played wanted to knock them off and prove they aren't as good as they were hyped up to be. So congratulations Bosie State you had a great run.

Steelers Cut Jeff Reed
The Steelers cut their kicker Jeff Reed. Reed has been having a bad year, but the Steelers might regret this move. I have never been a big fan of Jeff Reed, but he has been a clutch kicker on the most difficult field to kick on in the NFL. Despite his poor performance I think the last straw may of been complaining about the Steeler fans. I do not like people that talk poorly about the people of Pittsburgh, but Jeff Reed has been very successful kicking on the poor Heinz Field turf. Jeff Reed will be very hard to replace let's hope it doesn't come back to haunt the Steelers.

Fantasy Football
It is hard not to notice how popular fantasy sports are becoming. I believe it will eventually change the way people root for sports. People will start rooting for their fantasy team players instead of their favorite teams. I personally want the Steelers to win more than my fantasy team, but it is a close call. I have a few friends who would much rather see their fantasy team win than their favorite team. I am curious to see if five years down the road if even more people choose their fantasy teams over their favorite teams.

College Rivalries
To me there is nothing better than a great college rivalry in sports. This week we are going to Miller Stadium to play our hated rival IUP. This is the game we circle on our schedule every year, and it normally comes down to the last play. That is what i love about rivalries, you never know what will happen. My two favorite rivalries to watch are Michigan, Ohio State, and Duke, UNC. What are come of your favorite rivalries in sports?

The Future of Big Time College Football
College football has become a circus over the last year. The big story of course is all the trouble Reggie Bush caused, giving back the Heisman, USC's loss of scholarship's, and losing bowl privileges. Then of course North Carolina had to suspend fifteen players for allegedly accepting money from agents. There are numerous other suspensions that had to be given out this college football season for poor behavior as well. This concerns me because college football is my favorite sport. The reason I love it is, because the players are all still amateurs. It is not suppose to be the players job yet. The players play with more passion, and for the love of the game. The game is starting to lose all of the qualities that make it great. Because of all of the negative publicity that college football has gotten i have lost interest little a bit. I don't have a solution for the NCAA, but i hope they find one fast and can save big time college football.
